Update 6: VIDEO!!

Hey guys... here is the video of LBP. I start with my friends list... and zoom in on my name... then i go to the LBP Beta, and then to LBP... so u can see its two different things... Then I mess around with the different levels, so you can see all the levels i have unlocked till now. Then I start playing the Wilderness level which has been such a pain in the neck... The video is about 3 minutes long... almost 322 MB... I uploaded it to youtube... It said it was still processing... but either way, here is the link... check it out whenever its done processing. Since this is my first video upload to youtube, I have no idea how long these things take. I guess the size of my video is too big?

Update 5: TOOLS!!

I will play the create mode as soon as I am done with all the levels, then I will share my in depth impressions. Also, the manual is freaking huge. Its around 40 pages. I can tell you the types of bolts they have... This is straight from the manual... I dunno if all of them were in the beta or not, but at least this is what the full game has... Sprung Bolt, Wobble Bolt, Motor Bolt. Other tools are String, Rods, Springs, Elastic, Winch, Pistons, Emitter, Buttons and switches, Buttons, 2-way and 3-way switches, Grab switches, senson switches, magnetic key switches, sticker switches. I hope that answers some of your create side questions!

Update 4: More Pics!!

I have crossed the Metropolis and the Temple... but even though the trophy list doesnt list any more areas after that, I am currently in an area called The Wilderness... I am posting a few pics of the Temples levels... Beware, these are pics of the actual levels... not just the names, but of me in the middle of them. I was asked to show some levels... and put a spoiler warning on them... so here goes... SPOILERS!

http://img512.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0481cu3.jpg This shows one of the characters/guides in the Temple area. There is some really good music in these levels... eastern/indian music... really feels like a temple... though the noises made by the characters, where they seem to be going for a yoga/OM kinda noise, doesnt pass muster... but overall, very well made... and the emitters used are a thing of beauty!

http://img263.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0483kt9.jpg This one shows me in the middle of the last level perhaps of the temple area... great lighting... although its a very crappy pic... but yeah, check it out. There are some really good puzzle elements in these levels.

http://img357.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0485on0.jpg This is from the first level of the Wilderness area... Where I am standing... is where a tank used to be. I disabled it... just top left to me is a blur... thats a rocket... and those things are a pain in the neck... I died a few times trying to figure out a way to disable the infernal machine... good stuff. On my right is a slab of electrified ice... also, this level has an excellent icy slide... its brilliant, very fast and you get a lot of points from the orbs... and some stickers... but if u wanna do a good job with the stickers, you'll have to be really quick with the jumps!

Just a warning... I might pass out at some point haha... but rest assured, whenever I get back up, I'll be back playing, and sharing info with you guys. Thanks for reading and for your comments and questions. I will try to answer every single one of them.

Also, DrunkMiffy asked about what all tools and materials were available... and whether they were just available in the tutorial levels we played in the beta, or throughout the game... So i compiled a list of stuff I have right now: right now i have 25 materials... 11 hair... 21 heads... 23 torso items... 23 animals... 21 architecture... 13 bodies... 27 decorative items... 19 faces... 10 foliage, and 14 objects... and i am not even trying to collect the max amount i can... i am just taking the shortest way to the end of the level... cuz i cant stop myself from trying to see what comes next!

BTW, here are some more pics from the wilderness level.

http://img161.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0486nt5.jpg This contraption looks crazy, but isnt that bad... the one which comes immediately after this one (it has two circles rotating with a one second lag... ridiculous) is much more difficult to negotiate.

http://img353.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0487ai0.jpg The middle one has 4 electrified things at the ends... and it goes counter-clockwise... not that difficult, but still great to see.

Update 3: Pics!!

http://img60.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0471ro1.jpg This is the error message at not being able to get on the LBP servers when I start up... I guess the servers arent up yet.

http://img368.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0475ng5.jpg This is a new material which you guys can check out... As you can see, I have tons of materials now... I dont think the beta had that many.

http://img403.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0476mu5.jpg This one is a dollar chain item... from the Metropolis area... I just got it pretty recently. Thought you guys might enjoy it. There are also a ton of options available now for the Torso... I particularly like the basketball jersey... I think i might put that on along with the dollar chain... Make my sackboy a pimpboy hehe.

http://img376.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0477ms2.jpg This is from the Canyon area... The creator curator is called Uncle Jalapeno.

http://img525.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0478ee4.jpg This one is called Low Rider... it is from the metropolis area... This is where I am right now. P.S. Lots and lots of cars in this one hehe.

http://img208.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0479oj9.jpg The beginning of the Low Rider level. Another item which I have, which I dont think was in the Beta, is the Skeleton Hand.

As you can see, I am trying to reveal as little as possible about the actual levels, while trying to give a fair idea of the amount of items available in the game... and seriously, I havent even reached 50% on so many levels. The extent of items available in the game boggles my mind. The people who like to create their own levels are going to die from joygasms.

------------------------
Update 2: Just finished the Canyon area... It is a spanish/mexican themed area... with great music (I heard 'philipino' quite a bit in the first level of the area)... wasnt there a song called that which was famous a while back? Anyways... the levels are getting longer and more difficult... I had to use explosives in these levels, as well as transport them to certain areas... very, very tense. While wedding was darker, with more neon lighting... this area is much brighter.. ur playing in the day time... lots of gold... lots of chili's... lots of spanish themed objects to win. Great level design... the last level has you dodging burning snakes... you'll see, its brilliant.

-------------------
Update 1: I have just finished the Savannah and wedding areas... and let me tell you, these are great, great levels... In Wedding, there is a level where you have to basically find your way in the dark... BTW, I hate dogs now. And trust me, once you have played it, you will know why i say that. Also... there is a level called skulldozer... which is just insane... you have no time to think... its brilliant... and i had a blast playing it... I cant even imagine two people playing that level... it would be beautiful chaos! I am in awe of Media Molecule... you have to hand it to them... they are brilliant level designers.

I am trying to give you guys just a flavor, so as to not spoil the whole thing, but just give you enough info to hype you guys up a little. If you would like more details... please let me know... and i will tell all! And dear God, is there stuff to tell... sigh.
----------------
Hi guys,

I am playing the retail version of Little Big Planet... I am currently playing the story mode, as my PS3 internet doesnt work too well when my Azureus is on... Anyways, I doubt they would have online right now.

I am done with the Gardens, and am now in the Savannah, helping out Zola. I will keep it spoiler free unless someone asks me something directly. Also, to everyone saying that the levels made by beta testers are great... you havent seen anything yet. Media Molecule has done a FANTASTIC job... The savannah levels are already amazing... One area which comes to mind involves crocodiles... and you trying to not get into their snapping jaws... I will say no more, but you will know which part when you play it, and you will definitely enjoy it. Also, the levels are freaking huge! I am not that good at collecting stuff anyways, and am trying to follow a linear path instead of going exploring... but still, I collect quite a bit, and hardly do i ever go above 60% items completed. In fact, there have been levels in which I got around 25%! Most levels take me a good 8-10 minutes... And there are a LOT of ideas which might be used by people looking to create their own levels. Seriously... Hats off to Media Molecule.

The game is incredibly polished... and looks amazing. One thing I dont hear enough about is how good the game sounds! The soundtrack so far is excellent... I am already in love with the Jungle themed song they play in the savannah level... and the background noises are great! Anyone playing with 5.1 surround will have a good time.

These are my brief impressions after playing it for about an hour. I intend to play quite a bit of it tonight, unless I decide to go out (it IS Saturday night, afterall), so my replies might be a little late... But I will try to answer all PM's and all posts here. I would prefer you post here, but if its a spoiler you want, then I guess PM might be best option, unless everyone here doesnt care about spoilers.

Go for it!

And thanks for doing this, you're doing the community a huge favor. Thank you.

I have posted this (well an explanation) on the LittleBigLevels home page. Thanks again and have fun!

P.S. Mind if members ask questions? It's understandable if you don't answer, you must have so much to do.
